Family picnic at the beach

We took a day trip up to St. Augustine to visit my cousin who is on leave from the Navy for another week.  She rented a beach house and we had a family picnic.  The weather was a bit chilly and then started to rain, but we still had fun.  We even almost came home with a very mellow Springer Spaniel who tried to adopt us.  The owner didn't seem too concerned that his dog was walking off with us!  Eventually the dog went back home.  It was a good decision on the dog's part, as I don't think our cats would be too pleased with us bringing home a dog.
