We then took a short drive out to the Wicklow mountains to see the medieval monastic settlement known as Glendalough. This is the Ireland I had been waiting for! Beautiful views, very old buidlings, fresh and crisp air. I could have stayed here all day. The history involved with Glendalough is incredible. To think that we were among buildings that were from 800-1000 years ago. Surreal is the best way to put it.

We finished off our evening with a cabaret show which included singing, comedy, and of our course, traditional Irish dancing.
