UK/Ireland Trip - Day 9 (Cardiff to London)

We left Cardiff and headed back to England. The weather was a bit gloomy today. I think mother nature knew it was our last day of the trip, so she was shedding tears as well.

Our first stop was Bath. The city is amazingly beautiful and the Roman baths were quite interesting. We were very happy that the rain held off for us while we visited the baths.

Before we left Bath, we stopped at a cafe to get some coffee and a cupcake for Sarah.

While on the bus, the rain started up again. But that didn't deter our visit to Stonehenge. Sarah's wish was to see these giant rocks. She was quite happy and impressed even though it rained while we were there. The rain in England is funny. It comes down as more of a tickle, instead of a pounding like we get here in Florida!

We left Stonehenge and on to Salisbury Cathedral. It rained when we arrived, but blue skies were quickly approaching when we left.

Our last destination was back to the Hilton Olympia. We said farewell to Steen and Colin.

We had a few hours to do as we pleased, so we headed to Kensington Palace on our way to King's Cross Station to see Platform 9 3/4. We too a very long bus ride to King's Cross, but a quick (yet expensive) black cab back to the hotel.
